Julie, 1974

Introduced to children in 2007, Julie Albright and her stories represent the feminist and societal changes of American society during the mid-1970s and the US Bicentennial. Her stories take place in San Francisco, California in 1974. Renowned author Megan McDonald wrote Julie’s stories. Two movies about Julie were released in 2015 and 2017 starring Jolie Ledford and Hannah Nordberg.
