Meet Julie
Meet Julie Albright, a spirited, athletic and groovy girl living in San Francisco during 1974. Julie’s life has suddenly changed: her parents have divorced and she is moving with her Mom and sister, Tracey just a few miles away. The worst part: she is moving away from her best friend, Ivy, her pet rabbit, Nutmeg and her Dad.
In addition to a new home, Julie is not happy to start at a new school. But when she finds out that her new school has a basketball team, life starts to look better—that is until the coach says girls are not allowed to play. Julie is determined to play on the team, but soon her peers tease her. Will life ever feel normal at home or at school?
