Samantha, 1904

Introduced to children in 1986, Samantha Parkington and her stories represent turn-of-the-century America and the early America Progressive Era. Her stories take place in the fictional town of Mount Bedford, New York in 1904.

Renowned authors Susan S. Adler, Maxine Rose Schur and Valerie Tripp wrote Samantha’s stories. A movie about Samantha was released in 2004 starring Anna Sophie Robb. Samantha and her entire collection were archived in 2009. She was re-released in 2014.
