Nanea, 1941

Introduced to children in 2017, Nanea Mitchell and her stories represent World War II, from the Pearl Harbor bombing to America’s official entry into the war, as well as Hawaiian-American culture. Her stories take place in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1941. Renowned author Kirby Larson wrote Nanea’s stories.
