Nanea and the Beach

Before the attack at Pearl Harbor, Nanea and her family used to enjoy picnics at the beach, building sandcastles with her brothers, fishing with Papa and playing outside in the evening. She especially loved it when she went to the beach with her friends Donna and Lily.

The days at the beach were even better when snacks were involved! Nanea and her friends, Donna and Lily, loved to stop by the corner shop for a traditional Hawaiian treat: shave ice! Her favorite flavor, strawberry, always made her tongue barbershop red. Nanea hopes things will go back to normal soon so she can enjoy the beach with her family and friends again.
