Melody Takes a Stand

When Melody finds out that her older sister, Yvonne, can’t interview for a job at the local bank because of her skin color, she is upset. When she learns that it’s the same bank that she has her savings account, she decides to close her account in protest of its discrimination. 

With her account closed, Melody joins her older brother, Dwayne, at the neighborhood department store to buy herself something nice for the Youth Day concert. But when they both get treated unfairly by the manager, Melody is determined to seek justice. She starts by joining a march for freedom with her family to bring awareness to the discrimination happening in her own neighborhood.
