Cécile and Marie-Grace and Mardi Gras

Cécile and Marie-Grace can’t wait for Mardi Gras, a season of parties and costume balls just in New Orleans. Every year, Cécile and her friends would dress up in their best costumes for the Children’s Ball, the best party of the season. When Mademoiselle Océane lets both girls borrow costumes from her classroom, they both choose the beautiful fairy costumes. They look like twins!

When Marie-Grace learns that free people of color have their own balls, she doesn't understand why that is. Why couldn’t both girls go to the same children’s ball? Cécile tells her that it’s always been this way. Cécile has a plan. Both balls will be at the same place and with their Mardi Gras masks, they could attend both balls. But would they get caught? There’s only one way to find out.
