Addy Saves the Day
Now that the Civil War has ended, many families are searching for their loved ones who were separated when they were enslaved—including Addy’s. When will Sam, Esther, Uncle Solomon and Auntie Lula arrive? Addy’s church decides to put on a fundrasier to help those who were hurt by the war. But Addy realizes that she has to work with Harriet, the same, snobby girl from her school. Addy and Harriet don’t get along until a tragedy strikes.
Working together, the girls soon become friends and realize that the fair is a huge success. However, when they find out that the money they have raised has been stolen, the girls have to work together to save the day in order to help others. The day only gets better when Addy is surprised to see her brother, Sam! The war may have split Addy and her family, but they are slowly becoming a family again.
