Nanea’s Shell Necklace
Thank you for joining us for our program today. We are so happy that you are here!
For today’s program, we will be making a Shell Necklace, a craft inspired by American Girl character, Nanea. Today’s craft can be found online at Highlights Along the Way. The following directions make one necklace.
Materials
Natural Shell Beads (make sure they are small and have a pre-drilled hole)
Water based blue paint
Jewelry chain with larger than average links
Clasp and jump ring (usually sold as a set)
Directions
Paint small blue dots on the shells (Tip: To get a consistent blue dot, use the top of a toothpick).
Allow the paint to dry. The paint typically dries in ten minutes.
Once the blue dots on the shells are completely dry, simply string your shells in the desired spots on your chain with a clasp and jump ring.
Once you are done stringing your shells, you are all done!
