The snow is gone and spring has just arrived for Felicity’s tenth birthday. Felicity’s Grandfather has made a special visit and brought a beautiful heirloom gift for her birthday—her Grandmother’s guitar. She is in awe of the guitar and badly wants to show her best friend, Elizabeth, but Felicity's Mother insists that the guitar stay inside. When Felicity disobeys her Mother and brings the guitar outside, her parents are disappointed and upset.

But when Felicity overhears a conversation that could bring harm to her town, her parents deem her message false. Felicity is certain of what she heard and knows she must warn others. Will Felicity’s parents be upset with her again when she alerts the colonists? What will her parents think of her?
