Caroline’s Secret Message

Caroline and her Mama decide to make a trip across Lake Ontario to visit Papa at the British fort where he is being held as a prisoner to bring him a secret message. However, when Mama is not allowed in, Caroline must deliver the message without the British knowing. 

The secret message should help Papa escape and return home, but Caroline is uncertain if she can deliver the message to Papa and if he will understand it. The only thing Caroline and Mama can do is wait and see if Papa will come home. When Caroline’s birthday arrives, a surprise brings a smile to her face.
