It’s Here: “The Making of American Girl”

A message from Blake Changnon, founder, president, and CEO of The Changnon Family Museum of Toys and Collectibles:

Publication day is finally here for "The Making of American Girl"! Congratulations to everyone at American Girl who worked so hard to bring this beautiful project to life. This book is such a thoughtful and visually stunning celebration of 40 years of American Girl, its stories, characters, legacy and the vision that founder Pleasant T. Rowland had when she created the company four decades ago.

As someone who has dedicated years to researching, preserving and sharing the story of Pleasant Company and American Girl through my museum, it has been incredibly special to see so many of these memories, artifacts and behind-the-scenes stories gathered together in one place. I am so proud of the team behind this book and deeply grateful for the care and passion that went into it.

I’m also incredibly honored that I was able to play a small role in supporting this project. It means so much to have contributed, even in a small way, to helping preserve and celebrate this legacy for future generations. ❤️
